Commitment to Safety

We are committed to the safety of our workers as well as others that may work with us on site, as well as the general public. Safety is our top priority and we accomplish this through several factors such as; a robust training program, adherence to legislation, experience and mentorship as well as an extensive safety compliance program. All workers take part in the safety program, either through the OH+S  committee or through on site activities.

Nemanishen Contracting Ltd. has obtained their Certificate of Recognition (COR). They are part of the ISNetwold and has a proven successful record with WCB.

Safety Training

Training at Nemanishen  Contracting Ltd. is based on a crawl-walk-run methodology. New employees complete a full orientation before starting in their role. ​

New Employee Training

• WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
• TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods)
• First Aid
• PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• All other safety training required

Power Mobile Equipment Training (internal) - Individual to each unit employee will be operating

• Safety manual review
• Safety exam
• Field training with certified, tenured and experienced operator where additional situational and controlled training and assessments are conducted prior to worker certificate of competency
  
  

Site Safety - Hazard assessments, site inspections and toolbox meetings take place regularly to ensure worker and site safety and to mitigate any risks and implement corrective actions.
